Όπως μεταδίδει το Reuters, σεισμός 6,8 Ρίχτερ σημειώθηκε στο αραιοκατοικημένο νοτιοανατολικό τμήμα της Ταϊβάν την Κυριακή, σύμφωνα με τις αρμόδιες υπηρεσίες του νησιού
Το Γεωλογικό Ινστιτούτο των ΗΠΑ κάνει λόγο για σεισμό 7,2 Ρίχτερ ενώ εκδόθηκε προειδοποίηση για τσουνάμι.
